Just Finished Reading...

I love this book, and the witness Coach Dungy has had throughout his career. He has applied the scripture and his relationship with Christ to every situation. It also shows how important a parent's Christ-like example is in the home. Coach Dungy even found a way to use the grief from the death of his son to help others as Christ would. This is a must read whether you are a football fan or not. I can't wait to read his new book.

Conversations With The G...

Georgia was sitting on the dog crate the other day hanging out. I asked her if she thought she needed to be put in the crate. G replied, "I not a dog. I not have paws or a tail, but I got a hiney like MayMay!"

My Ballet Girl!

G received ballet lessons from Santa for Christmas. Her class is every Wednesday night, and G counts it down every week. I am so glad she is enjoying her class. I asked her if she would like to take gymnastics this summer and take a break from ballet. Oh no, we are taking ballet this Summer too! We are also taking her to see Sleeping Beauty performed by a ballet company in Rockville. We took her to see The Nutcracker at Christmas also performed by this ballet company. They really did a good job. So now we are going to see Sleeping Beauty. I'll let you know how it goes.

Conversations With The G...

Rick, G, and I were talking about the different positions in ballet G is learning in her ballet classes. I told G to go get her book Angelina's Ballet Class so Angelina can tell us. The book is an Angelina story, but also shows the ballet positions with a description of each. G said, "Angelina can't tell us, she's a book!"

Christmas 2008

I realized I haven't posted some pictures from Christmas. So here you go...

Santa's cookies and milk.

G's gifts from Santa.
She wants to sleep in the Tinkerbell PJ's every night!

Santa also gave G ballet lessons.
This gift certificate for lessons was in her stocking.

G coming downstairs Christmas morning even though she had already checked it out. She came flying in our room Christmas morning yelling, "Scooter, scooter, Santa brought me a scooter!" This blue carpet came with the house. It was downstairs too, but we replaced it with hardwood floors. I didn't want anybody to think that was my choice. Ha!

G checking out the stockings.
She was disturbed there was only something in her stocking.

Checking out the Santa goodies.
The dollhouse was from last Christmas.

Just Finished Reading...

This is the second book in the Paradies Series by Ted Dekker. This one is very good and more like the Dekker books I am use to reading. I thought it was much better than Showdown, and now I can't wait to read the third one!

Conversations With The G...

I leave for work around 6:30 a.m., so I don't always see G in the morning. Rick gets G up and takes her to school. Yesterday morning I received a call about 7:30 a.m., which usually means an item is missing or something is wrong. This time G had a rash on her thumb that looked like Poison Ivy. Yes, we put a bandaid on it with medicine and sent her to school. It was gone by the end of the day. G gets on the phone with me, "Momma...I don't feel good....that's why I talkin' slow." My little Diva and her Drama!!

Just Finished Reading...

This book is a part of Ted Dekker's Paradise Novel series. I do not read much fiction. The fiction authors I read are Frank Peretti, who takes forever to write a book and so worth the wait, or Ted Dekker. This was good, but not one of my favs by him. I still like House and Three better. I am reading the second book in the Paradies series now, so will see how I like that one.

Conversations With The G...

Last night I was turning a movie on for G in our bedroom. I looked at her and G said, "Mommy, I just put a booger in my mouth." I said, "Georgia, you need to put your boogers in a tissue." Georgia replied, "But mommy I can't. It's in my mouth!"
