Conversations With The G...

Saturday night while Rick helped set up the church for Sunday services, Georgia and I went to the mall. What else are girls suppose to do when left alone? For this conversation you have to know G loves to wear dresses. I don't know why I buy any other clothing for this chick. We were walking through TJ MAXX, and G kept pulling up her dress messing with her left cheek. This is how the conversation went:

Mom: "Georgia, put your dress down. Little girls do not pull their dresses up."

Georgia: "Mom, I got a bump!"

Mom: "Come over here out of the way and let me see. G, it looks like a mosquito got you."

Georgia: "WWWHHHHAAAAATTT!!! They got my HINEY!" (Exclaimed VERY loudly)

Mom: (Chuckling) "Yes baby, they got your hiney."

Out of the mouth of babes!!

Just Finished Reading...

Since my favorite author takes years between publishing his books (Frank Peretti), I have started reading Ted Dekker's books. This was not a favorite, but a nice read.

A Good Day...

Finally, a day at summer camp where Georgia didn't get in trouble or have her name written on the board! I was met at the door this evening by a smiling G who told me she had a "good day", and Daddy let her eat the chocolate sucker. Of course, the chocolate sucker was all over her mouth, but G was soooo proud of herself for having a "good day".

As part of G's punishment for not listening to her teacher was to take away the chocolate sucker she made last Friday at camp. We told G she could not have the chocolate sucker or any sweets the entire weekend. However, if G had a good day on Monday, she could eat her sucker. ;-)

Conversations With The G...

I am sure everyone knows the nightly routine of a child tyring to stall you leaving their room at bed time?! Tonight, G had several things to say. At one point she couldn't think of how to say it, and I told her to "Spit It Out". Didn't your Mamma every say that to you when you were little? It must have been the first time I said it to G because she actually SPIT and finished her sentence. Gotta love her!!

Conversations With The G...

Georgia had a ROUGH week at summer camp. I am glad last week is over. G has a problem listening to the teacher. Three days in a row her name was on the board last week. One day her name was on the board with four checks by it. This means she got in trouble five times...in ONE day.

After the first time, which was two weeks ago, we told G what would happen if her name was on the board again. I picked her up from summer camp on Friday. When G saw me, she immediately got upset because her name was on the board - AGAIN for the 3rd time in a week! G new what waited for her. On the way to the car G said, "Momma, I'm upset. I need my blood pressure checked."

5 Year Old Checkup

I took G to our wonderful Dr. Burke for her five year old checkup. Dr. Burke is from Louisiana, and we love having a "Southern" Pediatrician. ;-) The G girl is still off the chart on her height. This means she is tall for her age. I really hope G continues to grow, and she doesn't stop at 5 feet. No matter how tall she gets, she'll always be my baby who I love very much!
