Conversations With The G...

Friends are coming over for dinner who have two boys.  I told G little boys don't want to play girl games so you need to be flexible.  A foreign word for my strong-willed choleric.  G looked at me funny, and I went on to explain that the boys will probably not want to play with Barbies or stuffed animals.  G said, "But mommy, I have boy stuffed animals!"

Rapunzel...

G's class went to the pumpkin patch and then decorated their pumpkins with items from home.  The class named G's pumpkin Rapunzel because of her beautiful, long, red hair.

Rapunzel's beautiful red hair is raffia.

Rapunzel has buttons for her eyes, nose, and
dimples, stickers, and candy corn for her mouth.
G said her pumpkin had to have dimples like her.

Princess Maddy!

Last month G decided to dress up the cat, Princess Allie.  Well, she couldn't leave out Princess Maddy, the Beagle.  Doesn't she look thrilled!

Just Finished Reading...

There are no words to describe the journey this family is on.  This is the best book I have read all year.  Read it with a box of tissues!  :~)

The Aftermath...

This is what a 6 year old looks like after having a creme horn from Magee's Bakery in Lexington, Kentucky.

My dad grew up going to Magee's Bakery every day after school.  Now, it's a family tradition to stop there whenever we are in our "Big Blue" home.  :~)
