My Little Writer...

Georgia loves to write - All The Time! Sweet Chas sent G a Hello Kitty notebook from Jude and Sanders that G loves to write in. The pictures below are of G in my favorite new pj's diligently writing.

No, I do not have an ottoman with cats on it. I keep a blanket on it because my cats like to sit on it. Helps to keep it nice. The little red stool Georgia is sitting on is the one I had as a kid. G also holds her pen or pencil just like Aunt E. There are a lot of things about G that are just like Aunt E. Sometimes I wonder whose kid she really is?!

Montpelier Mansion

Georgia's class recently went to Montpelier Masion. The tour guides talked to the kids about life on a plantation. They discussed how the kids might dress and why. As they discussed what the boys and girls wore, the guides gave each kid one of the items to put on to wear on the tour. At the end the guides let the kids play with toys the children played with on the plantation. The class went through in two groups, so the group picture is small. G In A Box...

I don't know what possessed my cute girl to clean out her toy box and climb in. By the way, those are plastic scissors, not real ones. I couldn't decide which picture to put in this blog, so I put them all. I am allowed...I'm the momma!!

Garner Snow Day!!

Pictures from our Snow Day this morning. What fun!!

The first SUV is my Highlander. We got at least 8 inches of snow.

Valentine's Day...

G has decided she likes to wear ponytails. In ballet she doesn't have to wear a bun, but she does have to get her hair off of her neck in a ponytail. Now G loves wearing ponytails. For Valentine's Day, Rick and I gave G ribbons for her ponytails and a Strawberry Shortcake DVD. I guess I am a scrooge, we never give her candy except at Easter and normally the only candy we give at Easter is Dum Dums (suckers). She's happy with the ribbons and the DVD and probably doesn't really know any better, which is fine with me!

Just Finished Reading...

I love this book, and the witness Coach Dungy has had throughout his career. He has applied the scripture and his relationship with Christ to every situation. It also shows how important a parent's Christ-like example is in the home. Coach Dungy even found a way to use the grief from the death of his son to help others as Christ would. This is a must read whether you are a football fan or not. I can't wait to read his new book.
