My little one turns five today! Georgia, you have been a joy and a challenge in your first five years, and I will always love you! I look forward to many years ahead even though they will go by quickly, that part I am dreading. I have been working on a special post with pictures for you, but in trying to get ready to go to Kentucky I didn't get it done. I will post it at a later time.

Eyeglass Shopping...
As much as you tell a four-soon-to-be-five year old not to touch something, it's going to happen. I'm just glad we didn't break anything! ;-) The Garner family went to look for new eyeglasses for Rick, and G couldn't help modeling a pair. These things were so BIG on her little face. We had a good time laughing in the store and disturbing the serious couples shopping for their "perfect" frames!

My Starbucks Girl!
Georgia knows what Starbucks is and loves to go. The pics below are our stop at SB before going to church this past Sunday. Notice the purple glasses?! G told me she had to wear them inside so she could see. What?! She does look cute, though!

Little Miss Attitude!
I've been looking at pics of G to do a special post for her five year old birthday. A couple of these pics I had to go ahead and post because Rick and I were laughing reminiscing about our precious one with A LOT of attitude! Enjoy a sneak peak...
"Yes...I have drool!"
"Can I help you?"
Goodnight My Sweet Girl...
G fell asleep before I got upstairs to kiss her goodnight this evening after she and Rick read and prayed. I love this little girl soooo much! I am really having a hard time with the fact she is turning 5 at the end of the month.

The Karate Kid...
G's summer camp has a karate class on Wednesdays. I asked her to show me what she has been learning so I could film it. Take notice of what she says at the end of the second one. Enjoy!

My Little Firecracker...
Have you ever bought your child something and then not be able to find it? I bought G a July 4th t-shirt, but couldn't find it on Saturday. So, we put on this red and white checked shirt in celebration. No, the orange flower and pink sandals do not match, but G wears them with everything. The orange flower she made in summer camp and has worn it every day since it came home. She's my fashionista!

July 4th Fireworks...
The Garners decided to go see the Columbia fireworks on Saturday night. G was so excited about seeing the fireworks this year. Last year she was deathly afraid of them. This year it has been wonderful to see everything through her eyes and watch her enjoy the whole July 4th experience.
The Columbia fireworks are set off across from the Columbia Mall, so we went to the top of one of the garages located at the mall. When we got to the top level, there was still plenty of room to find a spot to park. People were tailgating all over. We had brought a few "Pop Its" to play with while we waited and shared them with the kids around us. We made our way to the edge of the garage to watch the fireworks and G met two little friends to enjoy the show. It was neat watching them be excited and share it together even though they just met.

The only bad part of all this, we sat on top of the garage after the fireworks were over for almost two hours. Traffic was not budging. The parking lot around us looked like it was Christmas with all the cars. Since we were in a garage, there was no bathroom and guess who needed to go? Yep, Georgia. Bless her little heart! Enough people had left early that we were able to move the car to a corner and block her off. I think I need to see about a travel potty for moments like this. As we sat around for two hours, we had to suffer the wonderful smells of PF Chang. I am now in need of some Chang or Pei Wei, which is owned by PF Chang and serves most of their menu. It just has faster service.
Next year, I think G might be able to handle the crowd and craziness of the DC fireworks. If not, we will need a better game plan to handle the Columbia fireworks.
